Yall remember the countless times when something bad happened when partying? Remember the rush and excitement when another mob aggro'd while you were fighting another monster? Remember when everyone would shout, "2-hour! 2-hour!"?

Is the reason that there are no 2-hour abilities in FFXIV due to the fact that there's no necessity to stay alive, so it doesn't really matter?


To make 2-hour abilities work, there has to be a reason not to die. Since anyone can just magically teleport wherever they want in the world at any time, and since the only penalty from death is loss in durability and the sickness, there's really no adrenaline in this game.

I think 2-hour abilities should be added to the game as well as a reason to use them.
