Because crystal gain is absolutely abysmal. It takes far too long for more casual players to finish anything, especially if you're after armour as well.

They won't nerf Hydatos until 5.0 (hopefully by giving everyone maximum level at the onset or dramatically boosting EXP and the level cap so as to make most things soloable, and be able to exchange crystals for the enhanced crystals that would normally cost light).

The problem is that, unlike the previous relics, these are locked to the zone and not to instances / duties. There will not be enough people prepping or killing NM's in the areas for people to get their relics after Shadowbringers drops.
(Also i'm not really sure where the point about exchanging crystals for light came from. Pagos is really the only place where that matters and it was nerfed several weeks ago. That place is perfectly fine as it is.)

the game is practically dripping with ways to get poetics. it's not hard to get back to cap if you spend all 2000 of them.

On the patch stuff though I personally hope for some nerfs before I get to last steps of Eureka, I've been having fun so far (at the super nerfed stages) and I think I'll continue to have fun as it's been pre-softned (not sure I'd like it pre-nerf though.. I'm too old/busy to FFXI hardcore again lol).

Curious what they'll do once Eureka can only muster two or three people tops during peak though. Elemental Chocobo / Squadron?

I've been having lag/DC issues all day and I'm fairly certain it's not on my end as I've seen other people affected by it too. Really aggravating having to wait through a longer-than-usual maintenance only to be plagued by constant DC and lobby errors. :/ Especially with what little things they seemingly added in this patch going off the notes alone.

Likely a network issue somewhere between you and SE, not a server issue.

I think lame sums the whole thing up. No Hydatos changes, and itinerant moogles "in preparation" with nothing on offer yet.

How much has the drop rate increased on the mount for Seiryu? Anyone try it out yet.
