Need help with level 63 Summoner Quest "Performing for Prin"

I've tried numerous times to do this quest, but I can't get past the two Ifrit-egis, my health tanks and I die before I can kill them. My gear is level 257 so that shouldn't be the problem. I don't seem to be able to heal myself during the fight. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Would appreciate any help with this.

    Are you using Titan-Egi?

Since it's a LOT easier if you use Titan-Egi to tank for you. Especially as you can heal HIM with Sustain.

Outside of that, it is possible to cheese it. Since the quest doesn't take place inside a solo duty, you can have someone else come and help you kill the Egi's. I've occasionally helped SMN's that were struggling with it while going through on my level 70 jobs and blowing the Egi's up...

With the Changes brought about in Shadowbringers, this quest is EXTREMELY Hard, no more tank pet mean that the agro cannot be pulled off of you as was designed for this fight, you can tell that they made the changes but over looked what kind of consequences it would bring about, we will just have to wait for them to patch it, I was streaming my attempts all day trying every egi, but the final ifrit fight just mows me down EVERYTIME.

    also srry for slight necro

Kiting. This is the key to the last 2 Egi you fight. Dot them up with both Dots then kite them around the area. Be careful not to pull any of the local ads. I had my Companion out set to Heal and a Range Pet so they can fight without having to move as much. Pop Energy Drain on cooldown you so you have 2 Instant Cast Festers. Use Tri-Disaster to reapply Dots on cooldown.

If you stay under the bridge too long they can reset. I ran up the stairs then jumped off the side a couple of times and that helped. Don't be afraid to let them reset a couple of times to figure out your kiting strategy.

    1. Get ilvl270 gear from Idllyshire
    2. Use Titan-chan's Egi-Assault 1 Shield
    3. Use a Pot
    4. Pray

    I barely squeezed through.

Then again, get a friend to help since its not instance based?

After just running it, my experience: First two Ifrits shouldn't be any major issue. Big Ifrit, maybe problem. But, worth remembering that you can take a break between each fight to get your cooldowns back. Tri-Disaster, get those Egi Assaults out plus Enkindle. Fester as much as possible. Using the Addle role skill can probably also help maybe? DWT for a second Tri-Disaster and more Ruining. And if you're still having trouble, get chocobo out, have a good potion on hand, eat some food for some buffs, even an INT potion if you're feeling really desperate.

It ain't pretty, but SMN "rotation" isn't great as is. But there's still a lot of damage you can put out in a short amount of time to burn these down.

This quest was impossible once you got to fight the lala's summons (Ifrit, then Titan) I was over leveld for it (Lv71 at time) and only succeeded with a player who healed me through.

I had success using the following method:
    -use chocobo for extra damage
    -use titan-egi as pet
    -run in circles
-cast nothing that isn't instant (if miasma falls off and tridisaster and dreadwyrm are unavailable, use swiftcast to reapply)

You should be able to run around the mobs effectively enough to basically not get hit. One or two hits can be tanked by the shield from titan-egi but not more.

This strat worked with minimal difficulties at lvl 63 with avg ilvl of 248. Feels very dumb, but a lot better than beating your head against a wall.
