Joining The Empire!

So its been plaguing me since i defeated the level 25 Ifrit and stood face to face with the Man clad in brilliant white armor, Imperial Legatus Nael Van Darnus. The mere presence of him had 2 shared feelings Fear, and Curiosity. He seemingly praises you for daring to challenge the Gods. Which up to this point, the people of Uldah have only seemed to make the Empire seem Evil. But for some strange reason I didn't get that sense of Evil from this man. He even went so far to hint at you joining that cause. Though him sensing that i had been corrupted by the City-states denied me that option.And upon that he saw fit to "Purify" me for lack of a better word. With that he stretched for his lance and demonstrated probably not even 1/3rd of his true power.

With that display of power, it has shown me the Might of the Empire. I would like to know if they could add and option to join Empire cause i would seriously like to gain that kind of power for myself and walk in Arm next someone like Legatus Darnus.

If they added a option like that could have penalties like you can't enter Uldah or the other starting cities. or having act as spies. so you could enter the cities still.

If they do that then it be PVP type like wow Eorzea vs empire no thanks sorry man but let's keep the storyline PVE and have awesome pvp that don't mess with other who don't like it. I don't really mind PVP i may try it but not a thing i would do 24.7.

well i can slightly agree with you point to the pvp but how about if it was only pvp instance based like wow and no open world pvp so you dont have idiots ganking all day. but back to the point. I just think its a major case of blue balls cause i usually am the kinda evil faction kinda person. like in 11 it wouldve been cool if you couldve chose to be and evil dragoon and got the black dragon with glowing red eyes. and go god i wonder if Darnus is that strong who is and how god damn strong is the Emperor/press to have men like the Black wolf or white raven serve under him.

Not to spoil anything or to rain on your parade, but if you get far enough in the main storyline scenario there's a very good reason it won't likely happen.

I'd like to go visit the Garlean Empire capital on varies spy/story missions. It would be cool if it is also a giant city with multiple layered zones with all sorts of advance technologies and inner city transportation like elevators, trains, and teleports. That would make it an ideal place to visit and be called the endgame hub.
