Question about MP and TP

They both will fall off and put you into no stance/phase if enough time has passed. Once you become a black mage you'll also get a job gauge that will help show which one you're in. Though as SE is keeping us in the dark until the 23rd of this month on everything battle related we don't know how or if those gauges will be effected.

There's also a list of icons representing the effects active on your character. They have the added bonus of showing timers for how long the effect will last before it expires.

I believe that these icons were removed for Astral Fire and Umbral Ice with the release of Stormblood, but it's been a while since I've played BLM. (I know they're no longer present on the party list status bar.) Astral Fire and Umbral Ice is fully represented only on your job gauge; not the buffs UI element.

I'm pretty sure when I was running BLM through Heaven-on-High a few days ago the buff bar version was still there for me. That said I was more busy dealing with "I literally don't remember how to play this class I rarely play anyways" to quite remember that detail.

There are also multiple levels of both Astral Fire and Umbral Ice. I think at your level, you only have access to the first stage of each, but as you level up, you'll unlock the ability to add a second and eventually third stack of each, magnifying their respective boosts, with higher damage for fire and faster MP regeneration for ice.
