    Please add more wards

On my server, there are no plots of land available for purchase. At best, there are a couple recently-demolished plots that are being camped by several people each. To even have a tiny chance of owning a house, I have to spend many hours pressing the same buttons over and over and over again.

    This is unacceptable.

Please, add many more housing wards to accommodate the large number of players that are unable to buy a house.

EDIT: Something else I should point out: While I agree that the current random timer system is among the worst possible ways of buying houses, ultimately, that is only a symptom of the core problem. The core problem is that there are many more players that want a house than there are houses. Even if SE were to implement the objectively-best, fairest purchasing system they could, there would still be just as many players without houses. Thus, the only true fix is to add enough houses for all interested players.

they definitely need to do something about it because on a server i was on before i transfered to another soon as a plot came up there was 20+ people camping it and was ridiculous

even if they add more wards the same thing will still crop up down the line and we'll be back here again with the same problem.
I personally would like to see the apartments be upgradable, animal crossing sort of style.

you have the basic room we have now but you can purchase upgrades such as making the room bigger, adding a balcony for plants, small room going off of the main room, ect

Don't mind me, I'm just posting my opinions on the internet and watching how people react to them.

Yea i agree, i believe that would only be a bandaid. The problem is i believe the server cannot handle too many wards but dont quote me on that.

Believe me, the servers absolutely can handle enough wards for everyone. Some back-of-the-envelope math suggests that an entire datacenter worth of housing wards would fit on a ten dollar flash drive, and even if people accessed their homes near-constantly, the end cost would be about 0.2% of the sub costs gained from all those players. Also, I grossly overestimated everything wherever possible.

If it takes a hundred extra wards per neighborhood per server to accommodate everyone, they can and should do it. If it takes a thousand, they can and should.

    I would 100% endorse this.

Apartments that have the interior of a small/medium/large house, depending what we pay for.

Also make the lobby bigger, so that it could have a chance of becoming a bustling hub for society

I think if there are more wards, they should be dynamic per demand.

    Balmung/Mateus: 5 more wards
ded World: 0 because there's 20 or so open plots
Medium World: 1-2 more wards due to threshold being breached but not as absurd

This would likely be a very stressful, intense undertaking. A solution I think is better is mixed housing. Instanced+Open. There's houses sprinkled in scenic locations so the cosmetics really stand out and if you want it, fight for it. But don't say you can't get a place because instanced is there. Because yes, video related is unacceptable.

That would be nice, and apartments unlike housing wards don't have to be active 24/7 like housing wards do. And as far as availability goes even Balmung still has open apartments despite not having demo timers and not being limited to 1 per account like plots are now.

Oh wow! That is crazy. So why do you think they arent adding more if they have the space for it? (Genuinely curious). Seems like the simplest fix in my opinion.

Theory 1: SE is using horrendously underpowered servers. My cost estimates are based on the cost of AWS servers, so if this is the case, the fix is as simple as renting a few.

Theory 2: SE fundamentally wants housing to be a limited resource. In this case, the fix is going to involve a ton of people making a ton of noise.

Theory 3: They will release more wards (hopefully a ton more) with Shadowbringers. Personally, this is where my money's at.

There are, of course, many possibilities, but these are the few that seem most likely to me.
