[Win10] No matter what I try, launcher does not remember Square Enix ID

So, I recently had to do some shuffling of my user accounts on my PC, and since then, the launcher does not remember my Square Enix ID, even if I tick the box.

I have gone through a number of suggestions, mostly revolving around security settings in Internet Explorer, but despite adding square-enix.com to my trusted sites, and dropping my security settings right down, I still am having no luck.

I have verified that temporary internet files are being saved, but for some reason not my username. Does anyone know how I might resolve this?

Alternatively, if not, providing me with a file I could place in the temporary internet folders myself in order to trick the launcher into remembering my ID.

    Thanks!

It's not actually your temporary Internet files that need to be saved, but your cookies.

Unfortunately i can't tell you exactly what is causing it, but the end result is that something is removing the Internet Explorer cookie that is storing your username, This could be your AntiVirus software or Internet cleanup software, but basically because that's being wiped, the launcher (which is essentially using Internet Explorer) can't retrieve your saved username.

Good afternoon and thank you posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try uninstalling the game the game as there maybe an issue with the files. FFXIV launcher application uses Internet Explorer settings, please try deleting the saved usernames and passwords.

    Hope to see you online!

Here is a simple thing that worked for me. Try running your launcher as admin. It might not have the sufficient authorization to write the file needed to store the information in the Program Files folder.

    Step:
    1) open your start menu and find your FFXIV Launcher
    2) Right click on it and click on "Open File Location"
    3) Right click on the shortcut "FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" and go to properties
    4) Click on "Compatibility"
    5) Check the box next to "Run this program as an administrator"
    6) Click okay

After that everytime you run the launcher it will ask you to give it authorization. Just click yes on that and there you go.
