Yes, AoEing lower level mobs is probably the most effective form of getting exp in this game (ala THM party in Wolf Camp in Nathalan). I won't argue with that. However, that still doesn't mean killing lower level mobs one at a time is less efficient than killing a mob with a 10 level difference.

I say this mostly because of how the dLv (the difference between the mob level and your level) works towards stat calculations in this game. I won't go into the details because it's long, but if you're curious look up Kaeko's posts. They are quite informative.

At level 50, and with a bunch of Thaumaturge, that's a given. Say you're with a group of Lv30's and a single THM? What then? I stand corrected on /assist, thanks.

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly. I did say fighting one mob at a time.

Ok, I'm with you now. What I'm more curious to see is after the combo system, the removal of AoE weaponskills from low levels, etc. (See all under RELEVANT POINTS) is if the 10 level gap might be more of a possiblity for efficiency now.

With the implementation of a job system that gears towards working together more, I would say it would be an increased possibility, yes. However, factoring in the the bonuses links and chains provide, it still might be more efficient in fighting lower level mobs too. It goes both ways.

All in all, what it really comes down to is that this is all speculation. It's all theoretical. For those who want to pursue efficiency, they'll know after the update.

Patch is less than a day away. Patience. =)
