It takes a day tops to get to 50.
You have to remember, these aren't humans controlling these characters. They don't watch cutscenes, they poshack to get around and advance quests, avoid taking damage while being able to deal it.
It's a nonstop script that'll do what it needs to do to get to 50+ or whatever they're programmed to do these days.
