I've been reporting the same characters botting on Balmung for years, and they're still at it. I wish Square would take another look at what's needed to ban for botting.
clans "UF""QJWS""NZ""LS""ZHA""YZH""CRHK""ONVD""GTSR""fghgf""aa""X_F""4r3""ghjgj""f3f" all on faerie are botting....
They (Usually) ban the gil farming bots you're seeing on a weekly basis, but it doesn't matter when they've been creating replacement bots literally non-stop lately.
They need to take a more permanent measure to deal with them because they're creating a significant amount of server congestion that's causing issues now and is only going to get worse when ShB releases.
The issue is that they don't actually investigate reports (Because if they did, there's no way anyone in their right mind would think most of these guys aren't botting). They'll just run an automated scan on a suspected bot to attempt to detect any abnormalities with the data their client is sending the server then punish them if something is detected
Problem that's only going to catch bots that are operating outside of the limitations of a normal player, such as those hacking gil farmers who teleport around the place.

the obvious ones are the ones with names like adlkfjahdfkjlh kjahdflkjhadsf like what normal player names themselves that and is a white mage or blm.
Because bots aren't banned within an hour. Their accounts are dealt with in waves.

Weekly basis, the links above are all for April.
They total almost 8000 bans. And I consider that pretty small for their usual amount.

ya cept it takes longer than a week to get to 50 .... and they have over 200 doing so... so that tells me they are really lax on it...https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...78d9089cec12ef

It takes a day tops to get to 50.
You have to remember, these aren't humans controlling these characters. They don't watch cutscenes, they poshack to get around and advance quests, avoid taking damage while being able to deal it.
It's a nonstop script that'll do what it needs to do to get to 50+ or whatever they're programmed to do these days.
