Going on 2 hours of radio silence after logging in to find my character in GM jail

Literally where? I've seen one instance of this ever in about 3 years of playing and there is often someone in my party who is parsing.

Parsing in this game is like swimming in the ocean with sharks; they're literally always there but attacks are still rare enough to make the news.

If the OP used a parser to insult someone I would be right there with everyone calling for them to be banned... but they didn't so, like most of the discussions going on here, it's pointless.



"Hypothetically speaking" the sad part is you're actually a good SAM for the content that you're doing and if you looked into the class a bit more you'd be doing even better.

First everyone’s experience is different. So what you and I have witnessed is not the same and opinions are formed on your gaming history not just one game. Which is why it is all anecdotal unless proof is provided. However, I have witnessed this behavior on more than one occasion. Not all pugs do it, but in my experience in a pug when a parser is cited this is the behavior.

Second I was not saying that the OP did insult anyone or That anyone in his party did so. It was my personal opinion on when parsing goes wrong. You’ll even see if you reread my post I am not against parsing as the whole. However, I also will not feel sorry for anyone if they chose to parse in FFXIV and get a suspension or ban. You know it is against the tos and need to accept the ramifications. However, the OP’s experience of waiting for hours is excessive and needs to be looked at.
