It's not your numbers that bother me mate; it's saying that all classes but two don't need a guide - which is true; if you're just doing story. But if you want to perform well; then yeah - you need to sit down and do the number crunching and battle theory crafting to even begin to start thinking about doing savage, or any content where you won't be kicked for being dead weight.

That's why I'm like 'wot' - there's a reason most of the top performers in the game are in certain discord where guides and information is shared. That's how the majority gets good. There will always be an outliner, but come on - you can't expect the average player to pick up a class, do all the number crunching and the likes themselves in any MMO. In especially if they're doing the hard/savage - Ultimate content. You might be able to get away with it in extremes as you can be carried without knowing a full rotation - until someone kicks you for low dps, but still.

Yeah, but most people can't even figure out that the forums exist. You expect them to read rotation guides? How many times do we get posts asking why they can't log in during maintenance times we had a week's notice on.

Most players in this game simply don't care about putting up good numbers, they play for the story and to hang out with friends.

And if they want to go further they can start looking up guides. But they have to want to to do so. Or just make story content harder so they need to get better, but every times that's happened, it's just backlash instead of getting good.

Aye, will agree with you there. People were already complaining about story content being too difficult in recent patches. Says it all, people need to actually put the effort in.

The easiest way to increase player quality is to simplify the rotations, especially by reducing the number of skills. Unfortunately, that also makes them rather boring to play imo.
