If the bot coders are in china, theres not much they can do. China encourages this stuff.I do wish SE would legally go after the people making the bot codes, rather than this long drawn out process they have that fails to even address the problem. Blizzard did it and seemed to have a decent amount of success in doing so. I wish SE would at least take a crack at it.

They are probably use to how most every other MMO handles RMT. SE has a unique let it happen for a long time approach. The other is a more swift immediate action. Which is probably not a GM, but automated.
I am not sure which solution works better. But the other one does remove the noise and shows a companies desire to make a persons gaming experience more enjoyable.

this is hwy i hang out in kugane or Ishguard. no bots
An rmt got on balmung the other day 1st time in years I got RMT spam. and they were a native to balmung.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
They really need to have someone actively policing and banning these guys on each server and that goes for all bots in general not just the RMT-related ones.
The STF is way too small of a team to properly handle these issues and their automated detection methods are no substitute for a full investigation when they're easily evaded by having bots act within the limitations of a legitimate player.
i want to see mmorpg out there that instantly delete the rmt bot the moment you press report on them, like cmon they will be gone yes but not that fast.Reported it every time, nice to know that the report RMT is fake

I don't think its worth the man power to have somone just sit there and remove each gil seller.
I don't see the issue with the ads themselves? The ads are like 3 small paragraphs and they stop its really minor to me.
I don't expect action instantly, but it's a bit ridiculous to think that bots get to level 50 & start farming in less then 24 hours, and SE only takes action once a week at best.

This game does have GMs. I have spoken with them several when reporting bugs. However, they don't pop up for RMT reporting. As stated previously, RMT are dealt with in waves. Keep reporting them and they will eventually be banned. Then the RMT simply make more accounts and it all starts over.
This seems like such a stupid system. This game does have GMs. I have spoken with them several when reporting bugs. However, they don't pop up for RMT reporting. They aren't banned fast enough, so they continue to farm gil, or whatever anyways.
Bots end up making a mint, and then get banned when the damage is already done. Meanwhile players can report bots 24/7 and still not report all the bots flooding into the game.
