Thread: SWING and a MISS!... {Can I have it?}

I can't think of a time when I missed a melee auto-attack and/or WS while in an 8-player group. (Heck, I can't even think of any other FF game that I've played where I never missed in a group setting, or at least had a 99.999999999 ..... 9999999% accuracy rating). Bonuses in general are okay, especially if you have to work for them, but for a while now it's felt like the accuracy bonus in large parties is a bit OP (of course, there's really no "work" required to obtain it, besides "/pcmd add [name]" x7... *whew* that was hard...). Anyway, I digress...

I'm wondering what Matsui's views (or even Yoshi's too I suppose) are on the accuracy bonus given to 8-player parties, and if he thinks that it should take an act of The Twelve (RP for ya - see what I did thar?!) to miss an auto-attack and/or WS. I mean, heck, mages still get resisted regardless of what size party they're in, so why are melee not subjected to the occasional *WIFF*?

Perhaps it's not so much the party buff, but maybe the mobs' themselves need to be altered (e.g., more evasion, etc.). Although when I think about playing solo I remember that I miss every now and then (which, to me, feels okay/reasonable), and so simply increasing mobs' evasion (or some other stat/attr/whatever) would make me miss even more if I weren't in a party receiving the accuracy buff. Hmmm, maybe, then, just "dumb down" the accuracy buff during 8-man "instanced" content? Or, buff up the mobs' evasion (or w/e) during "instanced" content? Heck, I don't know... o.O

So yeah, it would be nice to know what Matsui's and/or Yoshi's views/thoughts/ideas/whatever are on physical accuracy - especially for end-game-ish type content. Rukkirii? Bayohne? Can you hook an Elezen up, and run this by one of them? Thaaaaaanks~

Edit: And yes, of course by "melee" I do mean ranged too - woops~
