Windows 10 Controller stops working for 10 seconds

Seems me and my friends like using controller on the pc. But we all seem to have the same problem where the controller drivers will "blink" whenever you play FFXIV. This causes your char to keep moving in a single direction and you loose all control for 10 seconds.

This can be a massive problem in dungeons, raids and so forth as well... worse thing is you die or cause a raid wipe.

Can anyways work on fixing this please?!

afraid the controller players are out numbered by quite a few. Making this problem wide spread but none effective to those that dont use them. I seen posts on this subject all the way back during Heavensward

    What's a Windows 10 controller?
Like an Xbox controller you mean? Or did Microsoft put something else out recently?

Something to consider if you're using current gen console controllers, the micro USB type connector on them are notorious for coming ever so slightly loose after being used a while, causing intermittent loss of connection sometimes if you're connecting by cable. Took me years to realise that was the damn issue. If you use XBO or PS4 controller wirelessly then there shouldn't ever be an issue, as long as you're not experiencing wireless interference or driver conflicts.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

What kind of controller are you using? Have you tried recalibrating the controller in the System Configuration Menu under the Gamepad Settings tab? Please also make sure no other programs are interfering with the interface. To make sure no other programs are interfering, perform a cleanboot. Open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

    Hope to see you online!

ps4 and a xbox one. FFXIV recognizes both though not all games see the ps4. Problem still exsists that the drivers tend to freeze up when ever FFXIV is running.

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

Could you prove a System Report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

    Hope to see you online!
