Can you please fix the "No XP from mobs" in Eureka from E-Level?

This is bugging me like crazy. From what I can tell, it seems that if someone joins a group and the e-level is too high, you lose all xp from trash mobs pulled and slain during the process of spawning an NM. Between that and the lack of being able to mount until max level for some reason, this is really making it a pain. I know this already is easier than it was, but still, it feels really unnecessary.

It also works the reverse way.

If someone joins a party and their level is too low, well, there goes all your experience and challenge log progress capabilities.

One of many "Brilliant" decisions for this content that's supposed to promote co-operation.

editted since other posters say it does

this is what we did figure out though

You do get less exp the more people in your party, IF you are close to the monster's level.

if the monster is 9 levels or more higher you get no exp
if someone in the party is 9 levels or more higher you get no exp
if you are 5-8 levels lower than some one in the party, you get half exp, that said if they are killing things 5-8 levels higher than you, you still get waaay more exp than you would solo, or if they were fighting something close to your level, and dps/tank wise, you are contributing virtually nothing.

the peak level difference is 6 levels between you and the enemy, in terms of max exp given, and within 5 levels of the highest person.

a side issue is, if people outside your party contribute, your exp is reduced, depending how much dmg they do. If they do enough dmg, the level difference is going to matter for your exp.

basically it all boils down to a limit on being carried, which overall, is extremely forgiving. if some one is 9 levels higher than you, unless you are a healer, you are worthless.

that said its extremely easy to carry, even with all this. a level 20 capped guy can fight level 18 monsters with his level 12 friend, and his friend will get ridiculous amounts of exp, while essentially being afk.

this is mostly a problem when popping NMs, where extreme high levels outside of party come and do most of the dmg to monsters you are fighting, that said, you probably did very little dmg/tanking in this case.

better to go kill another monster in the area, because in reality, they dont need your help at this point.

    Yes it does.

I can be in Anemos, with a full party of level 20's and killing level 25 mobs just fine.

One person drops, we get in a level 15.

OH WAIT NO MORE EXPERIENCE FOR ANYONE YAAAAAY.

Not even "1xp" contribution to allow for Challenge Log progress.

Can confirm that unfortunately it does. If you're a lv20 killing lv20 mobs and you invite a lv5, your exp crashes or outright vanishes.

It's a pain when you join a NM group hoping to get a little challenge log exp along the way but the one low level is killing the exp. You get punished for refusing to kick them.

To be frank the problem is that they made it so that the exp gain is heavily pushed towards killing the NMs and not other methods.

    This is not the case.

You can get far more experience from actually killing things than from NM's. The exception is when you're outleveling the content (This includes being sync'd down to level 20/35/50 for Anemos/Pagos/Pyros. Even if you're farming the level 25/40/55 stuff) - But at that point, you're barely getting much experience even from the NM's.

It's just that, you're pushed to kill NM's for the Crystals you need to upgrade the gear, to get boxes for Logos, to get the unique items such as Strider's Boots, to get all the vanity items such as Mounts/Minions/Hairstyles/Orchestrion Rolls etc.

Also, so is everyone else in the instance. So it can be more difficult to actually get a party together for something other than FATEs or Challenge Logs (In which people will farm things that are -2 levels or 0 levels difference for speed of completion as opposed to farming +1-5 level stuff for maximum experience gain)
