Watch them remove the emote because it's too "stressful" for players to execute such emotes while PvPing.

This has been a thing since...idk, forever. It is meant to antagonize the competition, often making them red with rage as they pursue you. And it works more often than not, at least as far as fps games are concerned. I don't recall seeing it much in FF XIV. But yeah, it's basically a universal "come at me, bro!" People also don't need an emote to do it.
True. They could dance when they kill you, laugh, wave, clap...wait.This has been a thing since...idk, forever. Never thought i'd see the day squatting in a video game became sexual harassment.
But then i remember this is [current year] and people need to be outraged about something no matter what.
You are taking a game too serious.
Probably best to stay out of comp if you can't handle any form of negativity.
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.

Let me say this.........People need to have respect for others in game, as much as they do in real life. I get tired of people saying, "Well it's just a game, get over it". Well it's a game with an actual person with actual feelings, running an avatar. Kill them in pvp and then give them a hug (be the bigger man). That's saying far more that it's all in good fun, then someone shoving their big butt in their face as they lay dead on the ground. We all know what this "one" gesture means. Forget all the other emotes available to you. You don't see football players doing this to each other in competition, wonder why? So quit saying it's a competition thing and it's a game. Geesh I can't believe some of the responses condoning this one emote's used in this way as being okay. I get what the OP is saying.
I wasn't really defending it for what it's worth. I was just pointing out that it has been a thing since online gaming became a thing and why it was and still is used. Because of this I guess it doesn't phase me much because I've seen it all. And yeah, of course you don't see tea bagging in real life competition sports like football. I think it's in poor taste to do so even in an online game but it's hard for me to feel much of anything else about it because of my experiences with online gaming going as far back as Halo and Call of Duty years ago. I see someone do that or something similar and all I really do is shrug.Let me say this.........People need to have respect for others in game, as much as they do in real life. You do see football players screaming on the ground when they get a slight nudge, and there was that one dude headbutting people. Another likes to bite people. You also get the fun of racial slurs being flung around in Football. One guy was taunting another after the dude scored an own goal. There's been incidents of players deliberately stamping on people...That's saying far more that it's all in good fun, then someone shoving their big butt in their face as they lay dead on the ground. I don't think Football is a good example. I would much rather have a guy teabag on my character, than be bitten in person, tyvm.
