After reading the letter from the producer, i would like people who have asked for Viera (and possibly Hrothgar) to humor me on something.
Could you think of another service or item you would purchase if the store or salesman told you "It's not actually finished, because that would've been too hard; but we worked on our own time to get something done." and still insisted on charging you full price for the item? Would your own employer let you get away with that? Would you let your own employees get away with that?

Is this enough to make me consider hanging the game up? Probably not; i was never interested in the two races to begin with, but i can see that this kind of practice won't serve the game well in the long term. I'll have to see if this mindset bleeds into future parts of the game; i hope it doesn't.

This analogy would work if either Viera or Hrothgar were missing animations, or if they were wearing just gear specially crafted for either race. But they work with all available gear, got their own emotes, 2 legs, 2 arms, a head, a torso, now we even get some accesories.

Just because it's missing either gender, it does not mean either is unfinished.

So i guess this isn't your point then. We're not allowed to criticize the game yet. Perhaps the next feature they decide they don't need anymore.

Please read the plethora of posts i have made during this thread that mention this is not about the sexes. This is about the issue of headgear, a display feature that is present in all races with exception to the two new races.

Well, you do you, I guess. I never saw them promise that we'd have "baseline feature", for date X, but maybe I missed it in some interview.
I have next to all headgear hidden anyways, so I don't care about them.

Since they released Au ra with arms and head pieces 100%, and now are telling us that they are doing the new race head in their spare time, I find it difficult to believe. Aren't they doing the basic for all the released races?
They could have made the same argument about au ra, "Au ra will come without head pieces because of their horns, but dev team is doing the head pieces in their spare time". What's the difference? Little.

It's easy enough to just tell, untill I see the headgear and think for myself "woah, this piece must have been difficult to adapt".

Your analogy is wrong here.

What actually is happening is this. You go to a salesman to purchase a service/item etc. And the salesman tells you "Here's the item you want with all the core features included. But wait, there's more! There's this new side feature that we've been developing that is still not yet finished that comes with it".

Would you buy this service/item now?? Or would you reject it since a side feature is not complete so now it's completely ruined for you?
