If you were leveling for PLD, I would assume that you are < lvl 14, people don't party that low, because there is no need, similar to how if you flagged up on a lvl 5 job in FFXI you would not get an invite.

the FFXIV system was still better... you saw groups nearby who seeked for party members..
and you can flag yourself for seeking a party... dont know.. the search function still isnt really better than before?!
That might be part of the problem it takes like 3 clicks to change your status to seeking in 14 while in 11 it was just 1. Its kind of hidden away where you have to click your name in the search menu to set your status to seeking party.
I am at 18 now. I was trying to get some more skills to use on Paladin. Do people not party at 18ish?
the group search interface in FFXIV is still "shitty"...
and you cant add short comments .. for example "seeking for moogle group" or what the heck ever.
Well, i just didn't paid attention, there's a "search" menu, and there's 2 others menu in the party one that have almost the same function but where you can't set your players in seek, i think some players don't know how to set it because of thoses menus. (as i tried until i finally saw it =P )

Il est possible de dépassé la limite des 1ooo caractères, il suffit d'éditer son post ~
Can I have it.
An icon would draw more attention to the search function and also draw attention to people who are seeking parties.
See this is the problem, people still don't know how to use it !
Edit:- Ok first select or click your name.
Next select Seeking Party
Next select which class you want to look for a party with
Next select which language players you wish to play with
Next Type a message
This is what it should look like when set up.

Lazyness aside, a party search system should be as simple as possible, it should function as a tool to help you get to the fun of playing the game.
A Seek on/off should be the basic function, everything else like specifying lvl range or class, add a comment etc should be optional to go trough later.
The simpler something is to use the bigger chance that people will actualy use it.
