agreed. FFXIV still looks good, dont get me wrong, but their are newer technologies that it could benefit from as well.Black Desert, Moonlight Blade, Archage, and a ton of others both old and new would like to say something about that.
FFXIV has good art design (mostly; there's a handful of exceptions where the transition from concept art to 3D model didn't turn out quite right imo), but on a technical level, it was dated at release, let alone now. While I don't expect a full-on rework, simple things like textures, shaders, and mesh updates for character models (especially our feet) would go a long way in future-proofing the game.
