Side saddle mounts / More idle poses?

I hope this is an okay place for these questions, I didn't see a general question sub forum? Let me know if there is a better place for this in the future!

A few days ago my bf and I got married in game and got our nice two-seater Chocobo mount! I especially love it because I ride it side saddle, and wondered if there are anymore mounts that change your riding pose to side saddle, or if there is a mount director somewhere online that might mention if a mount has this different riding pose.

My other question is about idle poses. I've seen people with an idle pose with their arms behind their head, I've cycled through my /changepose but don't seem to have this one. Are there some idle poses that are race specific, or is it possible to unlock additional idle poses like emotes through quests and whatever?

iirc the side saddle riding pose is mostly locked to female midlander and the ceremonial chocobo i think.

For the idle poses they are locked by race.

It's all linked to your race-and-gender (ie. character model) unfortunately. There doesn't seem to be any way to get additional idle poses.

Although if you haven't discovered it already, using /cpose while holding your weapon will give you a unique idle pose for each class.


For mounts, my female Midlander rides side-saddle on horses but astride on chocobos and the gryphon mount that I normally use. Other mounts might have unique poses like sitting or kneeling.

Aww that's a shame. I didn't know about the the weapon posing, though! That's so cool, thank you so much for sharing!

That's too bad, I guess I'll just use my pretty chicken more often. I may switch to a bunny girl when those come out, hope they ride side saddle too!

Female elezen rides most mounts the same as a hyur would too.

if you have the Astrope mount, whoever is riding with you will always be sitting side saddle regardless of race or gender.
