With the Rebuilding of Ishgard in Shadowbringers...

... Will we ever see changes to the ARR zones?

    For example:

    * Will Hammerlea get the housing area for the Ul'dahn elite that the Hammers are making the foundations for?

    * Will the Silver Bazaar become a bustling hive of trade once again?

    * Will Rolandaix succeed in re-establishing Issom-Har and thus allow Duskwights to start rebuilding Gelmorra?

    * Will the Tonberries ever cure their affliction and start rebuilding Nym?

My guess is it's going to be a resounding "No" due to the fact that much of this information comes from side-quests which are basically non-canon because not everyone will have done them. To say nothing of how it would affect the zones themselves to make changes such as these...

But one can dream... Heck, given that they apparently like using the same initials for expansions, maybe 6.0 could be "A Realm Rebuilt" so we can start getting confused when talking about ARR and ARRebuilt

    Other things can include...

    * Little Ala Mhigo being developed - Either with more people going to Ala Mhigo proper, or the ones whom remain creating a more alive place...

    * Forgotten Springs getting the new Nunh and thus having it be a trading post.

    * Byregot's Strike actually finding relevant Allagan relics.

    * Highbridge becoming the trading post it eventually gets the permission to be.

    * Poor Maids Mill becoming a more established town (That isn't being attacked by Rats, Coeurls and Goblins all the time >.>)

    * Camp Dragonhead undergoing changes thanks to the latest changes in captain stationed there

    * Will Haukke Manor ever be inhabited by anything that isn't a billion Voidsent again?

The Silver Bazaar should be made into a rebuilding project similar to Doman Enclave or the Vanu beast tribe quest. Not bring it up to full former glory, but get it better off than it is now. Since it is(was) clearly the best port (short, safe route to Ul'Dah, big lighthouse), It seems likely that some rich Lalas in Ul'Dah covet her place and maybe built that big ship dock at Vesper bay to draw away business and force her out. Otherwise Vesper Bay is a longer and more dangerous travel route to the big city.

    I was just thinking...

This needn't be limited to just ARR zones either... There's plenty of stuff in HW that can also be rebuilt:

    * Coerthas Western Highlands having Falcon's Nest being expanded on to be more of an actual town rather than being mostly a military outpost (Since the Dragonsong War is over, there should be a reduced need for such a large military presence there)

    * Also in CWH, having Camp Riversmeet re-established.

    * Isn't there that dude who liked to go around digging up things from the previous settlement? Who wanted to eventually dig up the actual settlement from beneath the snow? Maybe Dragons can help with that?

    * Sea of Clouds could have the Vanu expand their village, perhaps gaining some territory outside of the single island they were granted?

    * Dravanian Forelands could have Anyx Trine co-inhabited by humans and dragons now that everyone is frens. Which could lead to the place being repaired/rebuilt.

    * Churning Mists would be super neat to see how the Moogles rebuilt all of the structures after being taught how to do masonry work (As well as becoming allies with the local Dragons outside of merely Hraesvelgr himself). Perhaps with the aid of Hraesvelgr himself! I imagine he'd love to build a brand new statue of Shiva! Especially after we helped to reconcile his anger towards humans.

    * Dravanian Hinterlands having areas being rebuilt by the gobbies. Given that they wish to rebuild Idyllshire and there was mention of restoring the residential area in the Answering Quarter. To say nothing about us helping them build the Gobroller in the MIN quests, which was to be used to clear rubble.

    * Whether or not the Arkhitekton and surrounding buildings can be repaired in the Dravanian Hinterlands is questionable though... Given that there wasn't really a sign of getting rid of the Illuminati that reside there... But if they could be forced out, then this area can also be rebuilt! Of course, it's also equally likely that the place takes on a Sharlayan/Gobbie hybrid look as the Illuminati themselves rebuilds the structures for their own purposes...

The real question is the rebuilding linked to Datacenter or to individual world.

It will probably be a world first to see who can get housing there first.

Wasn't there supposed to be a new settlement in The Lochs supported by Ul'dah? Don't recall heaing more of that after the initial quest down near the saltery.

Not that I recall. The deal between Ul'dah and Ala Mhigo was that Ul'dah would help Ala Mhigo return the Saltery into proper working and living order in return for a cut of the profits made from the sales of Ala Mhigan Rock Salt. The Saltery itself sees some minor aesthetic changes as the patches go by (in effect making it and the enclave our Revenant's Toll and Idyllshire equivalents), with some of the buildings being restored and more flavour NPCs coming and going.

I hope Ishgard housing will be instanced, and a reward for every player upon finishing the rebuilding. And that it will have a well written questline featuring our favourite cast from HW.

    One can always dream.

It was more so the Saltery itself being rebuilt.

Since Nanamo wanted to aid the people of Gyr Abania, without directly just giving them money (As that would come across as being out of pity), it was suggested by Lolorito to aid rebuilding the Saltery.

After which, we help get a few people started back at the Saltery, clearing out enemies and teaching whatshisface how to fight the local fauna while his gramps does the Salt farming stuff.

There was then a series of side quests throughout the patches where things happened such as Lolorito offering jobs to the people in the poor region of Ul'dah trading in Salt from the Saltery - A seemingly genuine gesture, though, literally everyone involved thought he was completely suspect... He did seem to keep his word though and hasn't exploited the scenario for his own gain... Yet...

This lead to an increase in people at the Saltery as it meant they had an income of Gil that made the work worthwhile.

Later, we revisit the Saltery and it's mentioned by whatshisface's grandpa that they're basically back up and running and just need to rebuild the homes to make it a proper settlement again (This is when Nanamo visits while disguised and checks up to make sure they're doing okay and making enough Gil to be sustainable)

In an other, unrelated side quest, we escort some people from Little Ala Mhigo to Ala Mhigo proper, where it's mentioned that there will need to be some rebuilding. Mostly in terms of people asking how the War has affected the place or how they might earn a living once they get there...

So, while not directly a new settlement, there has been information about both the Saltery and Ala Mhigo being rebuilt in the Lochs. With Ul'dah "Supporting" the Saltery by way of aiding with the sales of the salt (With of course, Lolorito getting a cut of the profits by having trade go via the East Aldernard Trading Company. Since, why would you expect anything less )
