    My suggestion for the next Eureka type area? Add in repeatable daily quests, crafting, gathering, and an actual public dungeon (not BA or instanced). Said public dungeon would be where all the high level mobs would be at, and you could party with others in there to solve puzzles, find loot, and have the most powerful NMs spawned there.

    The reason folks AFK waiting for NMs is kinda two-fold. The first is that, past a certain amount of people farming the monsters to pop an NM, more people don't help. When 130 people in a zone all crowd around the area for a single NM killing birds or whatever, the issue becomes more respawn time so past 30 or people there's really no POINT for people to help more. Obviously what they should do is go off and pop other things... except for issue #2: If you're not at the NM already or in a place with easy transportation (So, base camp), there's a very real chance that something may pop and you won't reach it in time.

    If you want people not to sit around AFK while others work, you need to fix one of these. Fixing the first one isn't possibly unless you make it so kills aren't required at all... but that just makes EVERYONE AFK until the next pop, not just most people. #2 could be fixed by adding easier ways to get to a FATE location once it's popped (Say, a consumable like the Eurekan potion to return to base camp and a more robust aetheryte network) or giving some alert that an NM will pop soon or making it invulnerable for a couple minutes when popped.

    Granted, there's also the option of just not making FATEs so OP. From a few things the devs said, it felt like they wanted people to primarily farm monsters and use NMs as a nice bonus... except the difference in xp and rewards is so vast that killing regular monsters is just not worth it, especially if you risk losing out on an NM. If you could farm monsters and reliably get crystals and xp, it wouldn't be quite as bad.

    I would have been a hell of a lot more interested in Eureka if it was more solo friendly. I'd even give the exp penalty on death a pass since I'm aware some people liked that mechanic if the rest of it wasn't such a slog.

    Oh, another thought I had:

    * Give everyone a Raise skill to use in the content

    It sucks to be playing a job you like, but then you can't do anything when anyone asks for a Raise because lul what am I going to do as a WAR? Shout angrily at them and hope they stand up?

    The fact that they implemented this exp penalty encouraging getting raises from others, but unless you're playing one of the 5 jobs with Raises, you can't do anything (Aside from awkwardly make your way back to camp, switch jobs, then run back over to their corpse)

    Given how they implemented Logos actions, if they continue with this death penalty thing, give all jobs access to a Raise action, so anyone can help others.

    I'd also help with job diversity in the zone, so not everyone and their cat being RDM because Raises.

    For content designed as group content the dev's should add some tools to effectively group up. Esp. considering that for stuff like killing/chaining mobs the level difference is so important. It's quite annoying that I (as a max level player) can't really help my low level friends execpt as a taxi or when killing FATEs. In all of my time in Eureka I've only ever seen once a mid-level (10) party doing challenge logs (probably done by people manually searching the player info).
    Please provide a tool to make grouping easier or provide a level-sync option.

    Also consider Logos not to disappear when leaving Eureka, this made me very hesistant to use them all, esp. as farming them isn't as easy as it was before ...

    Eureka was an experiment, it made sense there, but I don't want any peanlty on death and raise if it is meant to be a broad multiplayer area. The whole situation of special leveling and XP penalties was a bit annoying in the beginning and just flat out disappeared when Pyros kicked in because of the amounts of XP you could get from various sources (NM and reflect).

    I'd like more than "killing mobs and repeat". Exploration, gathering, crafting, public dungeons, hunts. Have it unlock glamours or iLvl relevant stuff at a decent time, but never really competing with Raid and Relic gear.

    That's the problem right there. That's what makes them unfun.

    Group content is fine. But when you try to shove the entire map of players into participating, it ceases to be.

    More variation in FATEs would be nice, escort and 'defend this location' types, to be more specific. Idk, it kinda just feels awkward we're in "an unforgiving, dangerous land" yet the settlements are never, ever under any threat whatsoever, they don't even have guards!
