I am in the Vast Minority here but mostly because I like my number one because it fits my characters Aesthetic the best.
1. The Goblet
2. Lavender Beds
3. Shirogane
4. Mist
There is nothing like sitting on my house, overlooking the entire pool and housing area, watching the waterfall as the sun comes up. And watching the stars with an unobstructed view from my roof is quite fantastic. On a clear day you can see the canyon and the river far below, and there is an Eagle that flies by to greet me every couple of in game hours. Yes the other Housing areas have trees or beaches, but the Goblet has the most character out of all four of them. It's a hidden gem.
I see. Thanks for the info! I guess I never bothered talking to the soldiers in the other neighborhoods because that exit is right there and I thought that was the only way to leave the district.Layout:
Except every housing district does have a way to go directly into the associated city-state.
Goblet has a Flame Private stationed near the main entrance that will take you to just outside the Miner's Guild in Ul'dah (marked as Residential Area Guide on the district map).
Lavender Beds likewise has a Serpent Private at the docks by the Ferry Skipper to take you directly to the ferry dock outside the Lancer's Guild.
There is no place to go when leaving Shirogane except Kugane when you talk to the Ferry Skipper at Akanegumo Bridge Docks.
The difference for Mist is the Storm Private is located on the opposite side of the ward from the main entrance while the other GC Privates are located at the main entrance.
She's got a chicken to ri-ide, she's got a chicken to ri-i-ide...
She's got a chicken to ride, this game's from Square!
1. Mist - Love the beach and ocean, love the white stone. This is where my FC's house is.
2. Lavender Beds - Love the water, love the greenery and flowers. I had a small house here, and it was very cozy. =w= ♥
3. Shirogane - Love the marketplace, love the jump puzzle.
4. Goblet - Love the pool, and I like some of the areas that are staring out into the horizon.
Shirogane > Ishgard (in my dreams) > The goblet > ... > Lavender Bed > ... > The Mist
I love how different everyone's lists are. This actually makes me really happy. I'm so used to everyone being gaga over Shirogane or Lavender Beds, it's a nice change of pace to see that there are those of us out there that don't fit the mold. ^^
From most favorite to least favorite:
1. Goblet. I love Goblet. The view of the sky can't be beat. It's so pretty.
2. Lavender Beds. Not my favorite, but I like the plots near the waterfall.
3. Mist. There's a few nice plots, but it's so white and boring to me.
4. Shirogane. I can't stand the architecture and all the initial hype killed it for me.
1. Mist
2. Mist
3. Mist
4. Shirogame

1. Ishgard
Trust me. This will be a thing.
2. Mists/Lavender Beds
Mists because the Standard interior is amazing. I love the stairs, the pillars and it is so easy to work with! Lavender Beds because I love the vibe this area gives off and I mostly choose Lavender Beds over other housing Areas. However, the interior can be challenging to work with. Especially in large ones.
3. Goblets
Again the interior is pretty neat and I like to work with it. Also I like the inner circle and owned a house for quite a long time there. Unfortunately on my server Goblets isn't to well populated and I don't really like to live in a ward where half of the plots are empty.
4. Shirogane
Never fully understand the hype to be honest. The entrance area of the large ones is one of the best with the windows on the ceiling but the pillars are a pain to work with. Plus I kinda got sick of all the asia interior designs which has been a thing for ages now. It didn't help that all of my past FCs had their houses in Shirogane and I spent much more time there than I actually wanted to.
Lavender beds is the best but it'd be better if it were more forest-y but the flowers and greenery are lovely. I love forests. ^o^. My FC on my alt is 23? the medium on the leftmost side. It's not an amazing spot and I had the small across from it after housing demo came into effect and I loved that because it was my first house ^o^ finally got one.
Shirogane is second best, it has some green and the centre are is lovely too! I think the layout is kind of odd in some ways but nicer in others. The worst part is the weather is absolute garbage here most of the time which is awful ;_; I don't remember my plot number but it's the 2nd one up on the left side close to the buildings. I thought this one had a nice area and pretty nice view. The other nice one is the one above the path to the secret hot spring on the right side. The leftmost spots all have really terrible placement...
Goblet is alright and I actually liked it more BEFORE the swimming bit was added. I hate the bright tiled look, terrible. I have plot 15 on my alt which is a pretty nice spot and my fav in goblet.
I hate mist, the bright white everywhere reminds me of prison or school. If you've been to virginia tech you know what I am talking about every building looks the same lol.
If they add ishgard I won't go near it, I have poor body temperature and am always cold and freezing hands, etc. and it is awful going to cwh or cch or ishgard so no thank you!
