The post I was responding to was a direct jab toward another post in the "Tales From the Duty Finder" thread. The person came to this forum hoping to vent to people who could possibly agree with her, and instead found out that 99% of the people here do not. Wearing a level 16 hat in a level 41 dungeon isn't smart, but the person already received their answer/response and doesn't need salt rubbed into the wound.
They should remove the roulette system and go for more dungeon versatility.

People don't skip ex and savage because they're not in roulettes. They skip them because of things like not wanting to put in the time to get geared and skilled enough, not having enough time to dedicate to it, being unable to find a raid team, not wanting to deal with pugs, they're not prerequisites to unlocking any content so they can be skipped without affecting the content you can access...the list goes on.
People bypass them due to personal circumstances and choices. Not because there's no roulette.
Also an ex/savage roulette would be a disaster. Party finder pugs already go badly very often when you can cherry-pick who to take. It would be even worse in a roulette.

Right. I personally don't do them because I don't have the mental reflex for it. Then there's the performance anxiety...People don't skip ex and savage because they're not in roulettes. I like it. Especially since roulettes are optional.
If we can have a Main Scenario roulette rife with problems and say "don't do it if you don't like it", then the same could be said about a savage/extreme roulette.
Frankly, we need more challenging weekies. Remember when Stormbloods launch only had Susano and Lakshimi as challenging end game? Painful.

It wouldn't hurt if they would add it I think instead of dismissing it immediatly ...
I'd settle for having a test run of Coil in the roulette. If people can do Binding, normal Second, and Final in a roulette, then maybe other high end duties can be included.
That said, unless the reward is really tempting, I don't think people will have enough patience to try such a thing synced with random people.

Personally, I don’t think it would be feasible to expect players to do something like T9 in synced roulette. Back when I did runs of it in HW for glamour, people could barely manage to do the meteors unsynced...I'd settle for having a test run of Coil in the roulette.
