Squeenix has made it IMPOSSIBLE for me to get the Frontline Fury achievement.

I've been farming frontline for days now trying to get Frontline Fury. Half the time I had to spend just farming enough wolf marks to get a title. There's only a few hours left and I see now that Squeenix has made a perfect storm of conditions that make it impossible for me to finish the achievement.

1. Maelstrom wins 99% of the time.
2. Freelancers are NEVER placed on Maelstrom.
3. I can't switch to Maelstrom because of the idiotic 15 day waiting period which doesn't end until tomorrow.
4. My teammates on either Adder or Flames are either incompetent or purposely throwing matches to farm tomestones.

THIS IS NOT FAIR!!! What am I supposed to do? I have not been around but for a few months and it's not my fault that I couldn't start sooner, though I wonder if that would even matter since days of farming Frontline I've only gotten 5 wins and getting them at a rate of 1-2 per day.

Squeenix really needs to compensate people like me who are getting screwed over by their bad management of this situation as well as their frankly poor balance in PVP.

I don't know why they have to make it wins when they could have just made it matches played. God knows I've been putting those in to no avail.

SE already passes out enough free stuff with 99% of the content they release, don't see a problem with putting effort into winning and earning something for once, Can't always be winning and getting what you want. You can keep looking for wins until maint or just give up, the choice is yours.

Yes i read what you posted and I find it silly that you find the achievement to be unfair when you say Maelstrom wins 99% even though people should just use common sense instead of accepting that Mael wins all the time without trying, I find that to be pretty ignorant and i would say you're just as incompetent as the people you called incompetent when you're placed onto Adder and Flames since you also believe Mael wins 99% of the time. Now you're asking for compensation from SE because you're not getting what you want like a child, Have a good day now.

These achievement awards have been around for a couple of years, maybe more. Additionally, Squareenix gave months notice that this collaboration would be ending on patch 5.1's launch. There was plenty of time to accomplish this for anyone who's been paying attention/not procrastinating. These things weren't meant to be completed in a few days. Especially not the last few days. It's not the dev's fault that people didn't give themselves enough time to accumulate wins. And they certainly were not obligated to make them "participation trophies" by simply making them matches played where everyone could afk and put 0 effort and end up with the "achievements" eventually that way just by queuing.

So, lesson learned? You'll be prepared next time.

Let me get this straight. You think it's perfectly acceptable that one GC gets the vast majority of wins in frontline and that people who can't be in that company should get screwed out of rewards. You don't think there's any sort of problem with that. You're perfectly okay with people getting locked out of rewards due to circumstances rather than the amount of time and effort they put in.

Wow, this is exactly the kind of attitude I was trying to avoid by getting away from games like League of Legends, Overwatch and Fortnite.

I'd say that I'm dumbfounded, but I've been around too long to be dumbfounded by someone being needlessly rude in a PVP setting.

That's not a lesson to learn, that's a problem to be addressed by the developer.

Unfortunately, the GARO event was only a limited time event, and it ends when it ends. I can understand your frustration - It's an event that's ending soon and you want to complete it. However, there's a few more things to think about in regards to this.

1. Maelstrom wins 99% of the time. As someone who regularly plays the mode that is false - I always queue Freelancer and yet despite getting on adders or flames most of the time I still have a fairly equal win/loss ratio across the board. Winning wholly depends on the people on your team, and you can get perfectly competent people on Flames/Adders as well. And while we're at it, not to be insulting or anything however I see that you are calling others on your team incompetent - how long have /you/ been playing the mode or PvP in general even to make that kind of judgement? For all we know you might be part of the reason your team is losing. Even when we think we're doing so much right, we do so much wrong.

2. Freelancers are never placed on Mael - Wrong. I get placed on Mael. And I freelance. Many times I've seen Flames or Adders players on Mael. Especially in 72 player matches. Experiences vary of course, but if you say that statement you might not have played the mode that much.

3. - Cool make do with what you have. You have a very low chance of completing the achievement by the end of the event even if you did place on Mael. You can't just magically pull out wins. You're at the mercy of your team and every other team on the battlefield.

4. My teammates on either Adder or Flames are either incompetent or purposely throwing matches to farm tomestones. - Generalizing is bad. There are plenty of competent Flames/Adders players, you're only trying to see the bad because you're losing. I agree that the last point about some throwing for tomestones is a problem, but most aren't, most are trying their best AND with the GARO event we have a lot of new people who don't know what they're doing much anyway. So does that make them incompetent for being uninformed about the mode?

All in all I agree with Shpy's comment above. SE passes out A LOT of rewards with minimal effort required on the player's side. This just requires a bit more effort than usual. Once again though I would recommend looking into your own gameplay as well to see if you're part of the reason you're losing as well. I don't know how long you've played the mode, but based on your generalizations and other comments in your post it seems you're just as new as the other players out there. Anyway, sometimes you can't have what you want - it's not your fault you weren't around during the event and I'm sorry, but it was a limited time event, it's been around for a really long time as well, and when it ends? That's when it ends unfortunately.

Oh, I could tell you've been around long enough. I see you have the Regalia, Fenrir and Adamantoise mounts, so you've been busy farming MGP in some shape or form, among others. And the Regalia was a time-exclusive thing as well... From a few months ago I believe? So forgive me if I don't take pity on your... "predicament" that you chose to wait so long to make an effort to jump into PvP. I have an FC mate who never did participate in much of any PvP until the new mogtome event kicked off and she's been able to obtain her Frontlines wins needed for that achievement since then. Even a month is plenty.

Your time management isn't a problem to be addressed by the developers. Sorry.
