I can't pay them to buy exansions

Which I'm guessing is because my account is so old (FF11 and later FF14, both at release), my username has nothing to do with my e-mail address (which is at should be - requiring usernames to be e-mail addresses is moronic - half way there to hacking an account, or encouraging the use of free e-mail accounts).

Which results in I can't give Square Enix money, since my username is so old (when programmers had a clue), it's not an e-mail address. And if if your username is not an e-mail address, it's an automatic fail at log in at the Square Enix store.

Yeah, I know, create a fake e-mail account so I can give them money.

Just pisses me off that I can't give them money using my FF14 account.

Fortunately, I can still play the game with my non e-mail-based user name. I just can't give them any money beyond paying for my subscription.

How dumb is that, ya know?

Not sure which store you're trying to use, but this link has the option to log in using your SE account, which is the same login info you use to login to FFXIV.
