i dont see why the game needs everyone to complete story. I think this is a big issue for friends bringing people in.
Because this game is first and foremost a final fantasy mainline entry game before it is an mmo? Branding means something and the brand name attract people and then in turn expect certain things?

Like I can turn the tables and ask you the same thing. If square has already made it possible to skip scenes, gain exp quickly just through running the msq, while offering skip potions then why do they need to now make it not mandatory? Not to mention running the msq is an efficient way to level.

Are you guys forgetting what ffxiv stands for, or do y'all run your rpgs the same way?
