New Player Experience Sucks! - Impending Expansion Problems

I guess what I’m thinking what people are asking for if something like FFXI’s story which was way more disconnected, like you beat the base game and each expansion kinda did their own thing which didn’t build off the previous expansion’s story, I don’t want that. I love FF14’s story because it’s been one continuous long story.

Gotcha then, the plea is for SE not to make the story exclusively a bunch of short stories.

I think that's a fair request. To me I think a mix is good and I don't mind how SE has done story so far (although not a fan of the more fetch-y quests sometimes lol).

Though I do believe there are a number of solutions that wont damage the story for others (and can perhaps promote the story in a way they wouldn't have paid attention to previously if they had no other way but our current methods).
