I did consider jumping but it probably isn't the most practical thing to use and moving seems to be more... well easy to control, at least that's my experience. If you jump, you can't move once you are in the animation so if you need to avoid an aoe then you might not make it in time until you land again you know. Granted the time between all that happening is small but it seems better than being in an animation lock no matter how short it lasts.

With ESC. I'm not sure about controller players though. Get !#@%ed I guess.
Does ESC do anything in particular?

No you're misreading what I said, im not saying to literally jump, im saying the Jump button just straight up cancels your cast while you are casting, and you don't jump. So you be running with raise, you see someone else raise, then you just tap the jump button and your raise cancels and you don't jump

Esc is the catch all button. It'll close the top most interface and if no UI is present, it cancels your current cast time action.

It effectively is a step-by-step button that returns you to neutral state. No UI open, no actions in process, no target.

This is no longer the case as of mid Heavensward. The keybind to cancel a cast is the Close All UI Components button. Ironically, it is not the Cancel button. Prior to the patch where this change was made, there was just "Cancel/Close All UI Components". For some reason they decided to separate the functionality. That much is fine; however, they made the bizarre choice to attach the spell cancelation function to the Close All UI Components button instead of the Cancel button.

Cancel (Esc) closes the focused window, cancels chat input, and detargets a target.

Close All UI Components (don't remember the default) closes all windows and cancels spell casting.

They both work, unless they swapped my keybind without my knowing it?

I tested my keybinds before writing that post to make sure. I don't remember how they split it up by default when they implemented the split, so Esc might have been mapped to Close All UI Components by default. I just know that my personal Cancel button is ESC and my Close All UI Components button is ctrl+shift+f9 (I wanted it super out of the way but not disabled), and Esc closes singular windows and detargets things like I expect it to, but it won't cancel a spell while ctrl+shift+f9 does. I can just jump if I want to cancel a spell, so it's more important for me to have the other Cancel functionality on Esc than it is to have it bound to Close All UI Components.

I'd personally rather have the cool down reduced on PoM instead to make it line up better with Thin Air or even better with Cleric Stance. I don't care about being able to move so much, because Aero II allows me to DPS and move and Regen allows me to heal and move. I don't typically need to move that much for that long. So for me, PoM gets used for my DPS rotation or for when things go wrong and I have to raise multiple people for some reason. So lining it up with Cleric Stance and/or Thin Air is much more useful for me. :3 Just my two cents on this.

The fight against Tsukuyomi when one must do the stacking mechanics while dodging (phase 4 at least) could become easier for WHM to heal if Presence of Mind is allowed to instant cast like Lightspeed; same with similar fights.

Lowering PoM's cooldown time would be nice, and if they added an effect to it (like a variety of Surecast) making it so one could move while casting (but can still be drawn in/knocked back if not having used Surecast) in addition to the reduced cast and recast time (without LS instant cast) that could also work I think.

WHM have Thin Air, Assize, and Lucid Dreaming to regulate mana, so overwriting a raise isn't really an issue in that regard, I think...
