I was going to say "Please don't do this", but I can see the reason for it.
So if this somehow ever happens, please make it an option somewhere. I do not care a single bit about the garbage that the randos cycle in an out of the FC chest.
If you're not using the FC chest yourself, you probably wouldn't see it anyway. We only get what retainers, the armoire, glamour dresser, or saddlebag have after we've opened them.
But that does bring up another issue with it. If they did it like the rest of the search, where it's getting the answers locally from the list you pulled down last time you opened the interface, the FC chest's contents could have changed since then. (The same issue would apply if they added your retainers' MB sale slots, which I've seen requested in other threads.)
Personally, I'd still like to see the results anyway, even if they're not as certain as the rest of them. But these categories would need to be somehow marked as tentative, indicating these are just items that are *likely* be there, but only if it hasn't changed. With small FCs that don't have a lot of churn in the FC chest contents, it would still be enough to be useful. But yes, making it optional whether you want to include such tentative results would make sense.
It should also only apply to FC chest sections that you have access to, and probably only if you have withdraw access.
Go to your FC house or GC HQ.
Look in the chest.
Fixed.
