You can't really get any low level stuff with poetics (which makes sense since the vendors are in lv 50+ areas). Might make more sense to sell them for GC seals IMO. Not that they aren't already dirt cheap as is.

On Gilgamesh and every server I checked today on Aether Grade 1 Crits were at the least 5k. Grade 2s were 20k at the cheapest. On my server, I didn't bother to check anywhere else. Grade 3s and 4s were about 1k each maybe cheaper.

Selling low-grade materia has been a great revenue raiser for my low-level alts. They go for maybe 1000 gil each on that server.

there are 2 quests which require grade 1/2 materia(as far as i remember), that's why the prices of those are usually a bit higher then grade 3/4. what do you need the low grade materia anyway, other then using it to increase desynth chance,where u can use grade 3-4 which are much cheaper? i haven't bothered soul-binding low lvl gear in a while, but usually u can get yourself low lvl gear from npc and do a few faits, it should go rly fast.

also what "Clicked" proposed sounds like the better solution to me.

as well as forcing melds low levels have better chance. Then of course there is math. If you only need 4 points to cap why would you use a 12 point materia.

ARR Relic needs a Grade 3 specifically for one part of the relic and then you need about 80 grade 1-3 ranks of materia to meld with the alexandrite for the scroll.

i know, this is one of the two quests i meant (ok its more then 2 but its 1 quest type "relic quest") and because of the relic quest the prices are usually higher then grade 3-4. other then that what are they needed for?
