Benchmark coming near the end of May

First expansion launch for me, whats benchmark mean?
is it important? is it like a beta for WOW or something?
Or is it just a way to see how your computer will handle the new zones?

Foreground shows off new features brought by the expansion, while background is a PC stress-test that gives you a score at the end. And like Daralii said, it gives you a character creator that lets you save looks that can be transferred to the main game once the expansion does hit.
