Corrupted Character Settings Server Backup

I've been having problems backing up my data to the FFXIV servers. I am assuming this is because it cannot overwrite the corrupted character data that seems to be on the FFXIV servers. Every time that I do attempt a backup, I get "An error has occurred. Canceling backup." How can this be resolved so I can back my settings up to the servers?

I apologize for the delay in our response you our concern. How long have you been having this issue? If the character data is corrupted, you may want to try deleting the locally saved content. (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV)

The character data is not corrupted on my end. It is corrupted on the server end. I just done a fresh install on a new PC a couple weeks ago and am still encountering this issue. Just so I wasn't completely losing my locally saved content, I renamed the folder and launched the launcher so it would create a brand new folder. I then went through the process of getting to my character to establish a backup to the server. This is what I see with clean locally created content:
