The netcode ruins it for me. Healing abilities going on cooldown landing on someone that dies anyway. Being unable to melee moving targets (Animation like half starts then cancels) while being directly near them unless I use bolt. Used to be able to when the servers were in Montreal, now I can't without Bolt which is really silly tbh. Maybe it's not as bad if you are near the DCs.

I never played much of Guild Wars so I'll refrain from commenting on it.

But my point isn't so much a rift between PvE and PvP for the most part. WoW's PvP was at its peak in wotlk and before, despite the community's and Blizzard's attempts to make it relevant after they butchered class design and ruined the rpg aspect of it.

From my experience people who want PvP in this day and age don't want the rpg aspect of it. They think gear shouldn't matter, everyone should be on an equal playing field at all times, damage needs to be low and utility for classes needs to be a small obvious package. But that kind of set up, while it may be more e-sport and competitive friendly, ends up having such low participation rates due to it being one-dimensional and turns off people who play the game because they like RPGs.

It's usually what people are complaining about anyway.

Love PvP the Astragalos and Hiidden Gorge are 5 star content imo just a pity not more players to do it.

I think it might be a love it or hate it thing. I really like Hidden Gorge, but my husband can't stand it.

I like FFXIV's PvP actually. What I don't like is how everything caters to FEAST!!! I would like a frontlines PvP season once in awhile.
