Prime Fights With New Jobs

So, Our LS Decided to test the new jobs on Ifrit. Needless to say, we lost time and time again. I was simply wondering if anyone has beaten any of the Primes with the new jobs, and what strategies did you use?

The first Big Problem we saw was that WAR just lacked the DD for the fight.
Another problem was that PLD has no way to recover mp. It drops way too fast.

Now I'm sure that we could beat it using more of the base classes, I Just don't think that would be as gratifying. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

PS: I'm thinking SE wants us to use Potions more so list em if you used them

Why is your Paladin using so much MP? White mages my boy, that's what they are there to do.

And I don't get how WAR is lacking in DD for the fight. It has better stats than MRD and plenty of times on Ifrit I out parsed THM's.

I dont see how MP can be an issue with a bard on the team, and how a paladin can run out of MP with white mages healing. Regen is a powerful thing. I also can't see DPS being anywhere near an issue with monks and black mages in party.

That shouldn't be a question. You SHOULD beat it because everyone has better stats as the job, especially with the AF gear. As soon as my LS is done with the new dungeons, I'll get them to run Ifrit runs again. I'd love to fight it. I mean Warrior with his 15 min ability, and Dragoon with jumps, and Bards... Ifrit should be a peice of cake if everyone avoids stuff. Only thing I really don't know about it Hellfire, which can't be that bad. Keep one Black Mage as a THM to AoE Sanguine rite, and have the dd's stand with the Paladin to get rampart

Beat ifrit with me tanking as WAR, 2 WHMs, 1 DRG, and a mix of THMs and BLMs. WAR > GLA or PLD for this fight. Vengeance was really hurting him, and hate wasnt an issue ever.

the way we did it was 1 PLD 2 WHM 5 BLM's pld tank the normal way had no problem with mp specialy with WHM's and putting his sword away during the 3 jump's.

blm mages should be at a whm for stoneskin when the nails come up and then then blm's can use that ability forget what its called one for MP back for dmg. all we donew took it down in 7minish and this wasnt my LS just a pickup party.

Ha! thanks, we really didn't have much time to play with the new jobs much. We kept dying a lot. Its so hard to get any useful information with the Miquote Trollz tearing through here. I'll let my LS know and we can give it a try when we are actually having an event. <3

Hello,

So far the biggest issue I have found is the inability for the DD to 'take care of themselves' (which used to be the defacto standard).

They are having problems healing and stoneskining themselves (or using Sentinel at the right time).

If the DDs consist of jobs that do not have /CNJ, then it may be beneficial to have someone with them who can take care of them? Perhaps a WHM or BRD in the mix.

I am still trying to figure out a new strategy that is ideally job only ^.^
