That's the thing, ilvl 400 wouldn't be necessary to even start the new expac and no one is going to be using every single job once it drops, they would likely stick to between 1-3 jobs and new duties would drop stuff as well. 380/390 is more than sufficient for the expansion, plus the Ivalice coins would no doubt take the Void Ark route and be purchasable with Poetics so not really needed to amend Genesis limit at this time.

But it doesn't hurt anything does it? no. They will all be pointless anyways so let people get the 400 weapons. Seriously, what harm is there in having weekly cap at 1000?

this so much, id be willing to have it be a stupidly high amount like 10/15 coins even because it means i have a fallback if i dont even see the piece i need in those runs, and i once spent months trying to get the chest of light, weeks trying to get the va tank set, and im STILL running monkey magic mausoleum for the heal top (took weeks to even SEE my first cast top or helm), and it also takes a little pressure away from the eternal fight between those people that need gear because theyre actively gearing a class, and those that are needing because they just want a glam piece (especially after running weeks or months without seeing that one piece they want drop at all, much less after seeing it the one time they run a different class and see it get needed by a 7 when they rolled a 95 on it and then not see it again for another couple weeks damn you chest of liiiiiyight ┻━┻ ︵ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ︵ ┻━┻ )
