Thank god i don't mod and i don't care if people mod their stuff. Otherwhise i would loose sleep over unimportant pixles at the end.
You are blowing how much I care entirely out of proportion. It annoys me, not torments me.

Looks more that this not just annoys you but whatever.

The fact alone that this annoys you is hilarious. Why do you care how others see you on their screens? Does it affect your gameplay or how you see your glamour? Nope not for one second.

You are having a hysterical fit over wording that for some reason insinuates I think about this day and night. Players communicate, some of which involve screenshot sharing. And what do I see? Invisible hands, open chest where there is none, funky facial structure, and in one case wrong hair color.

I think it's great you are so easily amused, must make life overall more simple. But really, you are blowing something insignificant into something falsely major.

The way others see you informs their opinion of you, and therefore influences how they interact with you. So, in an online multiplayer game, it actually does affect your gameplay. In addition, some people use their character and/or glamour as a form of self-expression, akin to an artwork. Having that changed outside their control alters whatever they wanted to express and thus annuls the effort they put into it.

Yeah honestly it does really bother me that other players would see my character in a way I did not intend her to be seen.
Especially when folks use those nudie mods....

This bothers me a lot as well and is why I refuse to wear certain items I know are modded a lot. We had incidents back when mods first came out of people gleefully showing people what their characters looked like with those sets turned on and it just turned me way off of ever using something like the Thavnarian Bustier or Bolero. Otherwise I don't much care about my character not looking as intended with SFW outfits so long as I don't have to see it.

This. I think the discord community refuses to allow it but the secondary sites don't care. Though I'm pretty sure the only Minfilia outfits I've seen are direct modifications of the item and thus require you to buy it. Though I could be wrong. Either way I cringe every time I see screenshots of people dressed in Lyse or Alma's outfits because SE would be totally in their rights to see it as lost revenue if they even did release those outfits.

I've had the same thought. Individually-set appearance mods in a communal game seem like a messy business, because each person's setup would be different and it becomes hard to control how a character appears to other players.

It seems far easier when everyone is on the same page, even if that page doesn't have exactly what I'd like to have available on it. I put a lot of work into picking outfits for my characters, and I don't want them to come across looking like something else.

Modding would VOID the mogstations. Because people could just give them access personally to said items and that's the majority of the reason to get something.

That being said. If you look there is a mod community out there but it requires HEX editing to insert data into the main files which were enough to make me not bother with it.

I don't use mods, but being completely honest there's a single one that constantly tempts me....male highlander eyebrows. The face paint is not good enough >.>

Literally doesn't affect you in the slightest.
