Don't do it. But since there is no anti cheat they have no way of catching you unless you admit to doing it in their chats and someone reports you.

Also, its at your own risk ; the game files are modified by the mods and it can make it so your game can't even start anymore and you have to reinstall everything.
I won't, but some harmless modders posting pics should be aware that someone could use it against them.

No mods at all are allowed. No exceptions.
However, it is unlikely anyone is actually going to care if you use purely cosmetic mods, but they are still technically against the rules.
Nothing is allowed officially, but there's an informal "mum's the word" policy in place. The same goes for parsing.
With modding exercise extreme caution when modding copyrighted materials or NSFW content into your game, because those are the things Square is mostly likely to act on if you go sharing screenshots on social media or whatever.
No mods are allowed.
However, it's a simple thing like with any other MMO, don't talk about it, don't mention it, and nobody cares.
Its against the rules to use mods.
However if you do use mods just don't talk about it or share screenshots on here.
I have seen plenty that share on Reddit.
For the most part most are harmless and actually do a really good job at improving the game, such as improving facial models, hair, and even eyes.
I wouldn't let people scare you off from using them, since there really is no way of someone knowing or Square knowing.
Mods only show what the game is actually capable of, yet SE refuses to do because “specs”, or “not a priority at this point in time” which just means no, we are too lazy to do that, and don’t want to.
Imagine glam actually looking like those mods (the appropriate ones lol) that would be neat.
Officially it's not allowed, Unofficially they wont really care too much for cosmetic stuff or that since it doesn't affect core mechanics of the game. Generally the majority of MMO's don't care for cosmetical modifications it's only when it's used for cheating or that where it become's an issue. My guess is your asking because of WOW's recent ban wave eh? Believe that only happened because the method used to modify the game was also being used for cheating as well, rumor's there is they quickly reversed this because they realised they'd just banned a 1/4 of their remaining playerbase as well as the fact they know the vast majority weren't cheaters.
If remember right GM said once in forums that using Enb or Reshade wasn't against the rules and that they wouldn't do anything to ones that used it. Could see if a mod gives you advantage over others. Then think they would do something about it.
