Duplicate character on mogstation? (Loadstone seems confused and so am I)

Hi there!

Wasn't sure where I could get help with this so hopefully, someone will know how to help me out here

I recently performed a world Transfer for my only character < from Phoenix to Balmung to be with my friend and her FC. I haven't played FFXIV since 2014/5 so I feel that may be part of the issue.

Mogstation is saying I have the same character in both worlds while loadstone is convinced I'm still playing on Phoenix. So my main is kinda just in limbo now, i can still play fine, Balmung isn't causing me any issues but it would be nice for the loadstone to recognise where I am.

What can I do to correct this? Thank you.

You just need to wait

The Lodestone doesn't immediately update and takes about 6-8 hours after you logout.

The thing is though i've waited several days for it to update. For a while it did have the correct information; that I was in Balmung but it now only shows my old world and Mog is still showing I have the same character in two worlds.

Update: Still waiting for this issue to resolve itself. Mogstation still believes i have the same character in two homeworlds while the loadstone believes i'm still on my old homeworld (Phoenix)

It's not causing you any problems, so stop worrying about it ^^.
Come back after the lodestone maintenance on the 14th and check again.

I had somewhat of a similar problem. Sometime in the past, I created a character on Faerie world. It had the same name as my main on Hyperion world. Dsherman Siren.

I think I leveled it up to level 17 CNJ and then just left it that way for a while. Then sometime later, I deleted the character.

However, when I look up my character name on the Lodestone, it still shows that character on Faerie (at level 2!). It also shows all the other characters I have correctly.

Out of curiosity, I made yet another character with the same name on Faerie. It was accepted. And then a few days later, I did the character search again on the Lodestone, and it displayed TWO characters named Dsherman Siren on Faerie world. One at level 2 and the other at level 6 (which was correct for this new character at that time),

I have since deleted that second Dsherman Siren on Faerie world. It has disappeared from the display on the Lodestone. But that level 2 character is still there to this day.

The Lodestone does seem to get most characters right... but there do seem to be a few where something has gone wrong.
