question about buying upcoming shadowbringer (about region)

basically i forgot what region i use for FF14 but considering my sub is paid using £ sign, so i take it my FF14 (and its expansion) is EU region?

can i buy shadowbringer with different region? like NA or SEA? or i need to stick with EU region?

Since you pay in £ it means that you bought your game for EU region, you are correct. You can also check it in Mogstation: Square Enix Account Settings > Account Information > write your Birthday > check "Region" line in opened info.

As far as I know, you can activate codes only for one region in your account.

You must buy the same region expansion as your original game purchase.
(The options are JP,NA,EU ... As usual OCE falls under the EU/PAL territories)

However don't make the mistake of thinking that limits you server wise, you may play on any server in any region regardless of what region your game is.

The region used to purchase the game ties you only on which region your mog station pricing is set up, and which region you have to use for game expansions. To answer directly OP, yes, you have to stick to your region of initial purchase.

Aside the above, you can login and make characters on ANY region/datacentre.
