Trash System Needs To Be Fixed NOW

Literally for DAYS my fc has hardly done any content in the game. Why you ask? Because we have to spend countless hours pressing the same damn button over and over again, sitting in front of placard after placard, hopping that some bot doesn’t beat us or some inconsiderate jerk just looking to relocate a personal doesn’t come by and make the 10+ hours we’ve sat there be all for nothing. I understand that personal houses are great and all and very nice to have, but if nothing else, apartments can be bought. FCs can’t buy apartments and a house/workshop is such an essential part of building a functional FC. The developers should’ve known how many houses would’ve been in demand with the free to move system going on and planned better for it. Either personal housing needs to be put on hold again for a short time to give all the new FCs a chance, or new wards need to be added. SOMETHING needs to be done cause this has honestly made us consider quitting and canceling our preorders for the expansion.

Waited a total of 58h in 5 days to buy a plot for my FC.
Literally picked up all the >16h timer plots, the smallest and ugliest plots shitlet had to offer, waking every few mins to click it while competing with at least 4 others, from 3 pm to 7 am of the day after only to lose it because I was a split second late (we were literally clickspamming in the morning because we felt the timer was close to expiring). Another time we lost the house to a random lv30 who was passing by and just bought it. They must have waited 7s at best, probably they didn't even know why we were there, probably thinking "Lol look at all these retards here, are they looking for someone to buy it? Here I come".
After going for 4 sleepless nights, I realized just of how unhealthy this is. Any more sleep deprivation and I'll actually lose health points irl.
I think I'll take a good break from the game. I got too focused and determined on trying to get a fc house, always pushing some more, but this is downright unhealthy. Staying in a semi-vegetative state for days (because 16 consecutive hours at the same spot is such) just to purchase a digital house.
Well, screw you and your garbage system. I'm out.

You could as a last resort move to another Chaos World such as Omega or Louisoix and buy a house instantly cause we have hundreds of vacant plots, and just visit Cerberus. Other than that your best bet is reddit housing market, i often see FC with plot for sale and not really too pricey. If moving worlds is an option i could always assist since i own some fc's on the two worlds i mentioned above. Even party finder you might find someone like myself who lurks in the shadows that often give a helping han...paw. :P

Oh yes, this morning I was considering transferring to Omega, and so I gathered information about the transfer.

I was hoping that Cerberus -> Omega transfer would have fallen in the situation of "Congested server -> new/preferred server", therefore being free of charge and allowing full transfer of gil.

However, Cerberus is not considered a congested server (despite being full) and Omega is not considered new/preferred despite having low population, therefore transfers are not free of charge AND you can only transfer 10M gil.
I saved up almost 60M by farming Ozma (baldesion arsenal / eureka) and selling pets/weapons because I was planning to relocate to a larger plot in the future, but this completely screws my plans. Moreover I should empty my apartment/FC-room and I do not have any space left. I should hire 3-4 retainers in addition to that fee and I would lose my FC in the process. Of course I could buy the FC from people like you, but this still doesn't solve the other issues.

Thank you very much for the offer, but SE managed to discourage even that option.

While it's unfortunate that this is such a big problem, your FC doesn't have to do that. No one needs to sit there for 24+ hours waiting to buy a house. No one needs a house in FFXIV. This is definitely a Want type of issue.

Crazy that people want to play content they pay a monthly subscription for. Being unable to access something as basic as a guild hall and workshop, because SE is still too lazy to address this problem after all these years is pretty damn absurd IMO.

You can phrase it that way all you want, but you're arguing against a point I'm not making. You do not need a house. It is not required for progression. It does not keep you alive irl. It is not a need, it is a want. I believe everyone should have access to housing, so you're not actually arguing against me. I'm saying no one has to stand outside a plot for a week straight. That is a choice that people are making.

I'd like to have a house too, but I can't pay my sub endlessly to avoid it being demolished. Does that mean I should demand SE remove the demo timer because I need to have a house when I'm unsubbed? No. I got an apartment.

I'll echo this sentiment. OP, do you really think your opinion is special enough to warrant its own thread? There's already threads complaining about the current housing system, why not post in one of those?

If the abundance of these threads bother you 2 so much, why dont you just stop coming to the housing forum and clicking on new threads. Thats something you 2 can avoid easily.
