Just started Sightseeing log..

Time, AND weather?? I sat at one spot for 20 (real) minutes waiting for the time window to come up at 8:00, and the weather changed at the same time At least people have created guides so I don't have to decode the riddles myself.
Even then, given all the waiting required, I don't think I'll continue hunting these, especially since there's no reward.

I wish I had an addon that alerted me to nearby ones when the conditions were right.. Wait, no addons here..

You'll unlock painting for the house by completing the sightseeing log.

And for the ARR ones you get the apkallu-minion.

Thankfully, it was only the ARR ones that were like that. HW and SB only had some that were time dependant(at least one in SB did, can't remember the HW ones if they did or not)

ARR sightseeing logs are time and weather gates also no icon within the world where they are located but getting all of them does give the Apkallu minion

HW and SB have icons and their stipulation the very few that actually have them are timed these also have icons to show where they are while exploring and give exp, final reward are titles though

You are not required to do all ARR to have access to HW and SB sightseeing logs and finishing all of an expansion's sightseeing log will allow you to buy the paintings in Idllyshire

Just get the ones you see the timer for is getting close and you'd be done in without investing too much effort in it.

I would like to see the Devs give the ARR sightseeing log the HW/SB sightseeing log treatment. I know it might upset the ones that already did it... but having to depend on time windows and weather is horrible. (Which is why fishing sucks... that and it's boring lol.)

I actually liked the dedication the ARR logs had. They showcased some very lively spots.
HW and SB were a disappointment. You couldn’t even see the spots from the vista point! “Boy this sure is a nice nothing” when the spot showcases something from a completely different angle.

Here’s hoping ShB brings in more love, ARR style.

I would be fine with more Stipulations if they increased rewards beyond just a title/minion stuff like a windswept hairstyle, binocular emote, Lara Croft(Old style like Legends) inspired outfit or a mount. Basically make the rewards more worthwhile to the effort to do them. I will be doing ShB sightseeing log regardless because i'm a lore junky but i'm not opposed to making them harder/more time consuming to get if there is a big enough carrot

When something looks better in the snow than it does on a clear day, to give it that air of mystique, or something in the early morning fog has the appeal, then yes absolutely weather and time should be required.
These are about enjoying the beauty of the realm.
