Sounds like OP hates steam in general. For whatever the reason: good luck with that

As for the posts on the authentication - none of us truly know for certain how it's going to work. It could be a situation where the game only needs to be started through steam and the authentication ends there. If the game constantly has to be authenticated, then there can be extra service interruptions. In that case, I agree, it would be horrible. If an influx of users (through steam) start having random disconnects, or lose connection to services when steam has maintenance every Tuesday evening, then let's just hope Square-Enix does the right thing.

i mean psn does the same thing, it's just done it from the beginning. ppl always wary when the psn goes down.
