    Create a Blue Mage Spell!

I don't know... I just wanted to do something fun.

So... Yeah, design your own Blue Mage spells!

They can be OP spells to have fun with, they can be balanced spells to fit a "Unlimited" BLU, they can be from previous games, from enemies in games or heck maybe design some skills based on Duty Bosses!

    Anything goes!

    Examples:

Bubble Shower - Deals Water damage with potency 130 to all targets in a cone in front of you.
    Source: Megalocrabs

    Universal Manipulation
    - Deals unaspected damage with potency 200 and inflicts a plethora of status ailments to all targets within 20 yalms.
    Source: Ascian Prime

    Goblin Punch
    - Deals physical (Blunt) damage with potency 30 to target. If the target is the same level to the caster (Or level ??) it deals 240 potency instead.
    Cooldown: 90s

    This is fun.

I've always loved those group buffs and utilities that BLUs provide. And the first thing that came to my mind was Angel's Snack from IX. You can can even tack on a general buffing spell to it. I'm leaning towards random buffs for this one.

Angel's Snack - Removes all party ailments within a 30 yrd radius. Consumes medicines for respective ailments. If no medicines are present in your inventory, the spell will fail. BONUS: Place two random party enhancements for all party members within 30 yrd. Benefits are: Haste, Refresh (like the one from Eureka, but weaker), DEF + MAG DEF UP and Damage UP. If the spell is successful in removing at least one ailment from one party member, the random bonus effects will reach all players within range.
Requirements: Antidote, Echo Screens, Eye Drops, Smelling Salts, Spine Salts or Remedy. Each status effect will consume one of these medicines for each player. One remedy will remove all common status effects. Example: 2 players are afflicted with Poison. 2 antidotes or 2 remedies will be consumed by this spell.
    Cast time: Instant
Cooldown: 2 min if spell succeeds, if the spell fails, can try again until it is successful
    Source: Whalaqee Totem

And since I like combos. To help in getting the status effects needed to be dispelled for the Snack's bonus effects, I give you Ailment Roulette.

Ailment Roulette - Give two random enemies and two party members (can affect you) within 20 yrd two status ailments. Status effects include: Blind, Poison, Paralyze, Silence, Sleep, Bind or Mini (the last two are for the lols). Status effects will last for a max of 15 seconds (not counting diminishing returns).
Source: Chaos Elemental will need to be "convinced" into using it. See below.
    Cast time: 0.5 sec
Location: Somewhere Nidhogg used to frequent like the Churning Mists or Dravania.

Keeping with the angelic theme, no BLU skill set is complete without their trusty Auto-Life spell.

Auto-Life - Self-use only. Grants the Blue Mage the 'Reraise' status for 30 seconds. Upon KO will resurrect the blue mage to 30% of max HP and MP. Invulnerability for 3 seconds.
    Cooldown: 3 minutes
    Source: Phoenix Reborn
    Cast time: Instant
Location: A new mob just for this spell in Revenant's Toll or somewhere mysterious, but its a tough mob (FATE equivalent) that has to be tricked into using it, which brings me to my next spell...

The level part of this spell can be changed, I just really like the idea of having to use other means of tricking mobs into using their abilities. And the confuse status comes to mind.
Lv5 Confuse - Confuses all enemies in a cone before you. Enemy level must be a multiple of 5. Has no effect on enemies higher level than your own. Use this spell in order to learn spells that are otherwise impossible.
    Source: Creepy Doll
    Cast time: 2 seconds
Location: An area in Heavensward, but I want it to be gotten before level 60. Maybe an abandoned and haunted town in the Dravanian Forelands.

So many other ideas to work with. This is a neat thread.

Sounds interesting, let's see... there's so much to choose from...

Toad: Applies a debuff, turning enemies in a small and wide frontal cone into toads for 15 seconds.
Source: Zuro Roggo (The Antitower), Halicarnassus (Deltascape V3.0)

The Classical Elements - Rotate between casting Fire Orbs, Thin Ice, Downburst, and Levinbolt while channeling.
Fire orbs: Creates several smaller fire orbs that expands after a few seconds then explode dealing aoe damage for maybe 130 potency each.
Thin Ice: Covers the ground with a slippery ice floor in a 15y radius for a short time.
Downburst: Pushes surrounding enemies and Fire Orbs away from you.
Levinbolt: Applies a lightning aoe to each enemy in 15y radius.
    Cast type: Channeling
    Total cast time: 8-10s
    Source: Alte Roite (Deltascape V1.0)

Dispose: Fires beams of light in a 45 degree medium frontal cone for 220 potency, then rotates character ca. 35 degrees and removes a Wind Up stack. Repeats until all Wind Up stacks are used up.
Additional effect: If no Wind Up stack is in effect, tapping the spell button before it finishes to cast applies a Wind Up stack for each tap.
Wind Up: Increases potency by 10 for each stack with a maximum of 8. One stack lasts for about 2 seconds.
Source: Construct 7 (The Ridorana Lighthouse)

They might not work, but it was interesting to think of...
