Yeah, I'd much rather they had introduced this system for older content rather than the new one.
I know I don't want to go tanking for a bunch of bots. I hope queue times don't grow even longer because of this trust system.
"You have a heart of gold. Don't let them take it from you!"
Real question is ... can I get dat sweet GLAM?!?!
Uncontested off-role glam?? Yes please?
It's naive to think that they haven't considered the effect on instance servers. They have an emergency button to turn off the Trust system if their increased capacities don't work. They used some previous patch instanced battles as a stress test without telling us.
I am all for the option to solo, but there needs to be a big enough rewards for grouping to make it a preferred method.
If the only reward for grouping is going slightly faster. It will not be worth waiting on a que when you could insta enter the dungeon.
Do not know enough yet to judge the system.
If it is good enough that people want to use it over grouping, then the whole game will suffer because it will force everyone to solo dungeons due to increased que times which honestly is sorta game breaking in a MMO.
If it is a sub par option for people who want to solo. Then people can use it when they feel like playing solo or going for glamours/gear, but grouping will still be the preferred method for leveling thus allowing people to effectively keep playing a multi-player game.
I like the idea of Trusts I have played long enough to have been rushed through the story content on release or been moaned at by the impatient. I like the idea of the trust system its great if you want to solo but you can also go with friends and FC. I would have loved it to be able to more than what will be available, and it would be good for older content and open world.
Yoshi-P disagrees and thinks it would be fine if everyone used the Trust system instead of grouping up to do dungeons.
You are still incentivised to do roulettes for the daily bonuses. Beyond first time clears, people usually queue for roulettes rather than directly, so it will mainly affect how often you come across first timers.
From what i saw so far it looks nice, its cute how the different npc have their different flaws and comment on stuff etc. And having 0 que time makey very well up for 5-10 min longer dungeon in worst case. Bonus is you wont run into randoms using lv 60 gear... >_>
I was thinking it might be neat if they had something added as a sub-option to "join party in progress" for things like Leveling roulette where if the wait time exceeds 5-10 minutes for your role, you could be put into a trust dungeon for that roulette. It's not specifically avoiding people because it would first attempt to get you into either a fresh run or place you in a abandoned spot, but if the wait time for your role exceeds that time you can get into a dungeon and finish up at least that roulette quicker
