May as well remove the entire system then. People are complaining about market collapse too. Seems no one likes the benefits of a cross world system.Your argument was invalidated the second they disabled your ability to interact with unspoiled gathering nodes while visiting other worlds. No doubt to keep people from monopolizing profits or something of that sort by server hopping within that node's window.
If we go by similar logic, then a case can be made to limit interaction with hunt mobs in other worlds as well. The very simple reasoning can be limiting the amount of seals and tomes one can get from hunts (specifically S ranks). And that's before we get into the messy territories of each server having its own hunt eco system and unwritten rules that people from outside won't be aware of, or won't respect. And then there's the outright trolling.
The market should balance it's self out. I'm not so sure about hunts. It could settle down once most have had their fill. Which I hope happens soon. It's even real nice when some of the trolls are the ones with the tiger. I haven't been to many hunts since cross world has been a thing, but for the few that I have been to we lay out the this is how we do it here stuff while waiting for the pull time. There has been some assumed tool assisted snipes and the instant pullers that don't shout.
I don't post much (as you can tell) but hunts are my thing ...
As an old timer hunter, I was NOT looking forward to yesterday. But all things considered I thought it went pretty well on Primal. Being part of the discord(s) set up is almost a requirement to have any chance of making it hunt or at least have a fellow hunter that is and quick to share updates. Which I think is an oversight, the current restriction of 1 cross-world LS and having it smaller than a normal LS limits the means in-game we can talk to our fellow hunters. During prime time I’d say I had a 1 in 4 chance of making a hunt, the off hours it was much better. A friend has a very slow connection so he was only able to make those where you knew and S rank was coming and showed up prior to the spawn to help. We ran in to a couple of server trolls here and there but I still probably got credit for 20 S ranks on various servers throughout the day. There is no way I can keep this pace up long term, nor do I think others will. It’s just shiny and new and content is stale at the moment so it gives people something to do. I’m sorry for those that have less kind fellow hunters and hope things calm down for you. I do like the “bullet trains” that run through the servers on SB A ranks from time to time, they really aren’t my thing but know my other hunters enjoy zooming through. Nice to see them die instead of being up for days. No words of wisdom for those struggling just wanted to say my experience was okay, not ideal but quantity over quality definitely won out yesterday. Will have to see what today brings. ~K
I'd say in lieu of the world visit system and to prevent this type of action why not have future S ranks have invincibility when they spawn? It could be on a cooldown for a set amount of time (maybe like a min or two) or someone could use an item similar to Stygian Ash(for breaking Ixion) to speed up the process if they have it in their inventory.
You'd have the time of getting to the world and being there with enough time for the cooldown and also have enough time to tag it during the process. I know it may seem longer to get to then other S ranks but with world visit hunts being an issue there should be some way to allow everyone a shot at them.
Pick one. There are several thousand active players per server. There are eight servers per data center. You start to encounter issues when a few hundred players are in a zone.
Wow.
Also seeing the issue where high pop servers are taking large groups into low pop servers and systematically eradicating their hunts. Square you've created a problem here, how do you intend to address it?
