It's not the turning off that's the problem. It's the fact that it changed from a returning player flower to a sprout for no reason.

When did you start playing the game?
Usually in this kind of situation it's because the player hasn't reach a certain amount of playtime or milestone in the MSQ. So even if they are a Returner for a period of time, once that status has gone it soon revert back to being a Sprout until requirements are met. Of course this is just a theory and it could just be a bug in your character, but it's something that might be the issue. Many players can go out and buy job boosts, story skips etc and be up to date with the game yet still have Sprout status, so it's not unheard of happening.

The sprout will go away the moment you clear the last MSQ from HW, not the one introducing you to the level cap of 60 but the one before entering the new SB areas the first time.
Also you need a complete playtime on that character of 162 hours or like that in addition.

This is relevant information you probably should've included to begin with.

While I don't know and can't find the info, is likely that you no longer fulfill the requirements for Returner status (likely, the status is temporary, removed after you've been re-subscribed for a length of time), while still meeting the requirements for New Adventurer. Simple as that.

It's when you hit 7 days of playtime. I had an alt all the way through 4.1 with a sprout logo.

It's the fact that it changed from a returning player flower to a sprout for no reason.

Returner isn't a permanent status (people can't have returner forever that would make no sense...). It only lasts for a total of 3 days playtime. After that it falls back on your next default status which is New Adventurer because you haven't unlocked Stormblood and/or don't have a total of 7 days playtime.

So basically it's not a bug, it's working as intended.

I saw a sprout running around in Eureka last week. I was wondering why! I guess I know now. Thanks for the info!
