    Game keeps crashing

    Hello,

About a week ago my game keep crashing. At first it seemed like it only happened when large groups of players were on my screen, but eventually it could be just myself and do it. What happens is one of two things. Either it would stop responding and must be closed with task manager, or i will get an error message to the effect of 'game crashed' with no error code listed. It will crash at least 3 times in an hour, which makes queues impossible sometimes.

If it matters my pc specs are:
    rtx 2070
    ryzen 7 1700X
    asrock 370x killer sli atx
    32GB ram

Thank you posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Were any changes or updates made to the PC? Also what have you tried so far to alleviate the problem? Also could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

    Hope to see you online!

Sorry for the delay in response ive been away. The only update ive done for my computer in the last month is gotten a new headset. Everything else was put together a few months ago. I have tried updating my computer and gpu drivers but there were no new updates available. Other than that I am not sure what else I could do to remedy the issue.

Thank you for the update Asuna710.

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

You may want to try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

Also try setting the compatibility to Windows 7. Right-click on the ffxivboot.exe file and select ‘Properties.’ Then select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and choose Windows 7.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
