    Unable to download patch files. [11003][20402[19901][2]

    Attempting to log in today (first time after patch), and the launcher won't boot, yielding the error "Unable to download patch files. [11003][20402[19901][2]". I read a bunch of the other threads and tried the following:

    -loosened IE internet settings
    -changed firewall settings
    -reboot router
    -disabled firewall
    -reinstalled game
    -turned off razer systems (game boosters sometimes affect other apps)
    -attempted ffxiv boot as administrator in standard, windows 7 compatibility and windows 8 compatibility

    Still no success. I have played this game since 2.0 beta, and I have only had to reinstall once, the patcher normally works fine. I run on windows 10.

    This error simply means that you are unable to connect to the server properly. Unfortunately, it doesn't really tell us the exact reason. This can occur in a few places, either within your home network (which it looks like you have attempted troubleshooting already) or with the route you take to the server. Unfortunately, you don't have direct control over your internet connection after it leaves your home network. Issues here can include congestion or routing problems that make it difficult to connect to that particular server (even if you don't have issues with other websites or servers).

    The assistance I can offer deals with your home network (as this is the only part that you have direct control over). I'd suggest trying the following if you haven't done so already:

    - Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that they have been opened:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040
    Your ISP can open these ports for you.

    I opened the ports mentioned and still get the same error. Is there another troubleshooting option available?

    It sounds like you are running into a routing or congestion issue on your way to the server. According to the support ticket number you provided, the support team was unable to complete a ping to your PC. This, combined with the ineffectiveness of the other troubleshooting, suggests the issue lies outside of your home network. Unfortunately, you don't have direct control over this, so we suggest contacting your Internet Service Provider.

    This thread will be moved to the 'Separate Support Required’ subforum as contact with the Internet Service Provider is necessary to resolve the issue.
